Sydney Fun

I just finished teaching my last Sweet Secrets class at Made With Love yesterday, and I must say it had been such great fun! Thanks to all the lovely ladies who had attended over the last two months - I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, and I'm so looking forward to seeing you all again at future classes. :)

Here's the first of the three layouts I created for the class, using Kaisercraft's absolutely beautiful Sweet Nothings collection, embellished with their lovely chipboard pieces, and some hand-cut flowers and butterflies.

I sprayed some Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold glimmer mist on the butterflies and then adhered some pearls down the middle.

The chipboard pieces are also sprayed with glimmer mists ...

... and I applied some stickles to the centres of the bigger flowers, for some added glitter.

The main theme running through the three layouts I created for the class is hidden journaling, and in this layout, it is found in a little flap located next to the main photo.

I pasted a smaller photo on the inside of the flap, and left the other piece free for some journaling, which I will be adding later.

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)

Crafternight 1

A few of us scrappers who regularly get together for our Friendship Swaps recently decided to throw in a new element to our get-togethers, to make things a little more interesting and challenging. So last Friday, I attended our very first Crafternight! Apart from our usual food and chatter, our wonderful host Evelyn actually put together a little class kit for us, where we learnt to create our very own stamps!

Hence, from a 4" x 6" piece of linoleum sheet, and using a set of wood chisels, this is what we got. (The self-made stamp is the piece in the middle; on the left and right are stamped pieces of cardstock.)

Cool huh? I can't wait to make more of these! :)

Just Breathe

Here's the final layout from my Picadilly class - Just Breathe. I love that expression! Reminds me to take the time to relax and "just breathe" for a bit. And that was the thought that came to mind when I looked at this photo, hence the title.

I did lots of tearing and distressing for this layout, and tucked some pretty laces and vines in between the sheets of torn papers.

And I just love the brick wall stamp from Prima.

Here are more views of the layout.
