Love - Burlap Panel

I recently had some fun with Tim Holtz's District Market Burlap Panel. I love the texture of the burlap surface, and I created a dimensional mini layout on it, with a variety of trims and embellishments. The papers are from BoBunny's Timepiece Collection, which I thought suited the theme of my little project nicely.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by! :)

16

We've come to another reveal day at My Creative Sketches, and this month's sketch is a fun and fabulous one by Michelle Fowler!

I used Prima's Divine collection papers for my DT layout, and used pop-up foam dots to layer the photos so as to give them greater depth and dimension.

The photos, as you may have guessed, are from my older DD's Sweet 16 birthday celebration last month, and I found Michelle's multi-photo sketch combined with the Canzone and Ballade papers from Prima's Divine collection, perfect for the layout, with the pennant flags lending it a very celebratory feel.

I also added paper doilies, flowers, and lace trims to give the layout a feminine touch.

Now, hop on over to the MCS blog to check out the awesome prize for May, and join in the fun! I can't wait to see all of your layouts!

Thanks so much for dropping by! :)

Love

I couldn't resist getting KaiserCraft's On This Day collection papers, even though they're meant to be for weddings. The papers are so pretty, and can in fact be used for almost any occasion. Here, I've created a Mother's Day layout of my girls and I.

I mounted the entire layout onto a piece of corrugated cardboard, and used various other materials to give it texture and dimension - burlap, muslin, wood, paper doilies, and laces among them. Liking the way it turned out. :)

Wishing all mothers out there a very Happy Mother's Day!
